Today's K-pop Updates: SM Says No โNEONโ Challenge Ban, NCT WISH Sion Goes Viral & NMIXX Lily's Swiftie Secret ๐
So much happened in K-pop this week! I saw a โToday's K-pop Updatesโ video going around and had to share the ones I'm most excited about, especially the dance ones. Let's get into it! ๐
1. SM says it never banned A2O LITE's โNEONโ dance challenge
Have you seen the โNEONโ dance challenge everywhere? โNEONโ is the debut song from A2O LITE, a new nine-member girl group from A2O Entertainment, the agency started by Lee Soo Man (he founded SM a long time ago). The song has been a huge hit since the group debuted this month.
Rumors started that SM Entertainment wasn't letting its idols do the NEON challenge. SM said that's not true! They said members of Super Junior have already done the dance, and that they simply hadn't gotten any requests for their artists to join the challenge. Some fans were also sharing that NCT's Taeyong once said he wanted to try it, so now everyone is hoping more SM idols jump in. ๐ค
Want NEON in KPop Mirror? Vote for it! The songs with the most votes get added to the app first.
2. NCT WISH's Sion is going viral for how sweet he is with fans
Clips of Sion from NCT WISH at a fan event are all over my feed. Even with only a few seconds per fan, he finds a different, fun way to interact with every single person. That's such an idol thing to do, and it's why NCTzens love him. ๐ฅน
NCT WISH isn't in KPop Mirror yet, so if you want to learn their dances, tell us! Use the vote on the home page or send us a song suggestion.
3. NMIXX's Lily is a Swiftie (and she's SO embarrassed ๐)
Fans found an old Taylor Swift fan account that belonged to NMIXX's Lily, and she even wrote fan fiction on it! Lily said it was the most embarrassing day of her life and that she didn't know the account was still up. Honestly? I think it's adorable. We all have a fan account we'd rather not show anyone. ๐๐
If you love Lily, the best way to show it is to dance! NMIXX's KNOW ABOUT ME is free in KPop Mirror, using their official dance practice video.
