RESCENE Is Back With PULSE and My Heart Is Literally Racing π (+ TWS Just Broke Their Day-One Numbers)
Okay besties, Tuesday came to play. π«Ά RESCENE just dropped their brand-new mini album PULSE, and over in TWS land, the day-one numbers for TO US are in and they are BIG. Let's get into it! β¨
RESCENE drops PULSE π
RESCENE (Woni, Liv, Minami, May and Zena) released PULSE, their fourth mini album, on November 3 at 6 PM KST (that's 4 AM here in New York). The title track is called "With", and the album has five songs in total:
- "With" (title track)
- "Finest Thing"
- "Inside Out"
- "MEME"
- "Dragon"
The name PULSE is all about a heartbeat. "With" is about running toward someone you've dreamed of meeting for a long time and promising to keep going together, and the song starts soft and dreamy before the chorus totally bursts open, like your heart speeding up. It's giving main character running-through-the-rain energy. πββοΈπ¨
Wait, the album has a SCENT? πΈ
Yes! RESCENE always connects their music with a fragrance, and this time it's a soft, long-lasting musk. At their showcase in Seoul, Minami explained that it's a gentle scent meant to stay with listeners for a long time, kind of like how a good song gets stuck in your head. Such a cute idea, I'm obsessed. π₯Ή
What the members said π€
RESCENE has had a huge year. "LOVE ATTACK" climbed the charts again this spring, and their remake of "Pretty Girl" in July gave them their very first music show wins. Now people are even calling them a "national girl group."
- Liv said they worked really hard to repay fans for waiting and want to show a stronger, more grown-up RESCENE.
- Zena said the "With" choreography is all about teamwork, with lots of in-sync moves, and she hopes fans notice how the five of them move as one.
- Woni said she wants people to think of the word "miracle" when they hear RESCENE again. Okay, ate. π½οΈ
A synchronized, teamwork-heavy dance? Dance covers are about to go crazy, I'm locked in. π
TWS: 634,871 copies on day one π
Remember yesterday's Comeback Monday? According to Pledis Entertainment, citing Hanteo Chart, TWS sold 634,871 copies of their single album TO US on release day (November 2), taking No. 1 on Hanteo's daily album chart. π
And their title track "Call My Name" did a speedrun on Melon: it entered the Top 100 at No. 75 and climbed 61 spots to No. 14 in about five hours. It also hit No. 12 on Japan's LINE MUSIC real-time chart. TWS said "call my name" and the charts said "okay!!" π
Coming up: their full choreography video was set to premiere on M2's "Studio Choom" today, and music show promotions start on Music Bank on November 6. Catch up on all three Monday comebacks in my Comeback Monday post.
